New DA name.

3 min read

Hi guys!

I have been very inactive on deviantART in the last one and a half year, literally i didn't do anything. But i felt like returning and create and upload new creations to my gallery, so i have already uploaded some new stuff and i have also changed my old name (blu3ph0rm), to psybernetic-x. This name refers to two things which could be united in one single name (English language is beautiful :P).  I very like psychedelic breakbeat and psychedelic dub music styles and i am also very interested in cyber studies, sciences, robotics so i could unite the two things in a single word (it should be pronunced the same way as the word "cybernetic").

Hi there!

I need some help. In Cinema 4D R12 Linear workflow is default, we don't need third party plugins to work in linear color space but this brings in some problems. I really would like to know, how do you guys work and save your final productions. I'm talking about the problem that when you work in linear color space and you save your final rendered image and open it a picture viewer that doesn't know linear color space, the image seems to be much 'darker' because by default all monitors show you the image with a Gamma of 2.2 (sRGB), which as i said basically makes the image look 'dark', although it actually isn't dark at all as we know.
As far as i know basically i have to options to manage this problem: 1.: When i start a new project i turn off linear work flow but. 2.: I use linear workflow but when i enable filter in C4D's Picture Viewer and save the final rendered image i enter a gamma value of 2.2 (sRGB).

I really would like to know how do you guys work with Cinema 4D 12 and what other 'solutions' are available to deal with this 'issue'?

Hello guys!

Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off the new deviant birthday reminder "feature" here on DA? It's another annoying thing since the newest version of DA was born. Of course it is good to how many years my DA friends spent here on DA but i don't want that thing to be pushed directly into my face.

When i play Crysis on it's last level the game often causes a BSOD. So i was browsing the net if anyone else had the same problem and i have noticed that, thousands of other users have this problem. It's more than likely that this problem occurs only on Windows 7 64 bit, when playing the game in DX10 mode (sometimes also on Vista 64 bit) environment but not on 32 bit systems.
The BSOD is always caused a sys file called "dxgmms1.sys" which is part of Microsoft Directx 10. So it seems that this is a directx 10 related problem on 64 bit systems.
Although Microsoft has released a hotfix to solve this problem but it doesnt seem to help, because I still have blue deaths after installing the hotfix.
I have also read that running the game in DX9 mode will solve the problem and you won't have blue screen of deaths but this is not the best solution in my opinion.

I wonder if anyone else had this problem and found some kind of solution? :)
